Advantages of the Internet

The Internet, simply know as the Net refers to the global network or a "network of networks" of interconnected public computers that exchange data running on the standardized Internet Protocol. This kind of a system allows users at any one computer to get information from any other computer. These computer networks are connected by copper wires, fiber-optic cables, wireless connections, and other technologies and consist of millions of private and public, academic, business, and government networks of both local and global capacity. The Internet transmits a number of information resources and services, including electronic mail, online chat, file transfer and file sharing, online gaming, and the inter-linked hypertext documents and other resources.

Internet’s most widely used part is the World Wide Web often to "WWW" or "the Web"), which enables you to access to millions of pages of information with the help of  a Web browser, such as the Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.  However, the Internet is a global data communications arrangement made up of hardware and software networks that enables connectivity between computers. On the other had, the Web is a collection of interconnected documents and other resources transmitted via the Internet. Today, hundreds of millions of people globally use the Internet as a public, cooperative, and self-sustaining facility.

The Internet carries various information resources and services, such as electronic mail, online chat, file transfer and file sharing, online gaming, and the inter-linked hypertext documents and other resources of the World Wide Web (WWW). Electronic mail, popularly know as e-mail, is the most widely used application on the Net. Today, electronic mail has nearly replaced the Postal Service for short written communication. Also, with the help of Internet telephony hardware and software, you can carry on live or real-time voice conversations with other computer users, using Internet Relay Chat (IRC).

The Internet has many advantages. It has enhanced the communication facilities which has resulted into our  earth attaining the form of a global village and a kind of global friendship where you can share your thoughts, can explore other cultures of different ethnicity around the globe. The biggest advantage of the internet is its ability to trace and store all kinds of information on any topic under the sun with the help of search engines like Google, yahoo Internet. There is a huge amount of information available on the internet for just about every subject known to mankind, including government law and services, trade fairs and conferences, market information, new ideas and technical support, and so on. It helps students, children, teachers, businesses, doctors to gather resources for various purposes. Internet has also become a multifaceted entertainment factor as it allows you to play games, see movies and films, visit chat rooms and meet new and interesting people. You can even find music, hobbies, news on the Internet.
